Carole Evans

“Service” is my love language.  I have had a rich and rewarding career serving as teacher, administrator, and curriculum director in various public school districts around the country.  I have always been a part of leadership, whether as president of the teachers’ union or as head of non-profit organizations.  My travels, my experiences, and my love of humankind have filled my life with joy and shaped my worldview.

My spiritual path intersected with Unity in the late 1990’s at the Church of Today in Warren, MI.  It was like the “truths” I had been discovering along my journey were greeting me and welcoming me home.  I later discovered Unity of Daytona Beach, and this church has continued to be a huge part of my spiritual growth and expression.

Soon after I joined this church, I became a part of the Healing Team and the Prayer Chaplain Team, as well as participating in various other volunteer teams.  As coordinator of the Prayer Chaplains, I got to know so many of the church family in such a meaningful way.  

My recent role as president of the Board of Trustees and the involvement in the ministerial search were both rewarding and challenging.  It is an honor to serve this church community and to share love, friendship and service in such meaningful ways.
