Mary Wanser

Mary Wanser has been actively involved in three different Unity congregations across two states, holding membership since 2004. She has been blessing UDB in person and remotely since 2021, when she moved to Ormond Beach.

Mary has held multiple volunteer positions across an array of teams within Unity churches, including hospitality, finance, grounds, decorating, and transition teams. She has taken part in numerous classes and book study groups offered at Unity, even arranging phone gatherings during the pandemic while church doors were closed. She has earned 20 SEE credits through Unity institute.

Mary is Unity prayer chaplaincy trained and second degree Reiki attuned. She is a fully ordained minister through an international, interfaith organization and, as such, founded the former Angel Wing Ministries with a fellowship of approximately 25. For a variety of organizations, she has held Board seats, including president, vice president, and committee chair.

Academically, Mary holds a Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing degree with concentration in non-fiction and a Bachelor of Arts degree in English with concentration in professional/technical writing. She has instructed students both inside and outside classrooms, in person and remotely, from age five up to 65. She was UDB’s former volunteer Sunday School teacher and co-hosted our recent Art Camp for Kids.

In addition to her current position as director of our Kids Ministry, Mary designs many of our church’s internal as well as external advertisements while also working full-time for a local nonprofit as a Residential Adolescent Specialist.
